WhatsApp new feature: WhatsApp has introduced a new feature on the app, with the help of which users will be able to join a group voice call or group video call after it has started. With this feature, people can join group calls directly by going to the Calls tab of the app. The feature also gets a new call info screen. In this, users can see who is involved in the call and which invitees have not joined yet.
The platform said in a blog post that this will not burden users with answering group calls when they start.
Before the new update, users who missed a call had to ask the caller to add them again. Where it was possible for a person to join later in this way, but it was not that convenient. In the new feature, it will be the decision of the users that when they want to join the group call. Apart from this, users can exit the ongoing call and join later, if the call is in progress.
