
IPL Auction 2021: Players were auctioned on Thursday for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League. The franchise teams released some players after season 13. After which the place of 61 players in the franchise teams that came was vacant. IPL 2021 auction was conducted to fill the vacancy. This auction process started at 3 pm in Chennai, which was telecast live on different channels of Star Sports. A total of 292 players were bid in this auction. It is believed that this tournament can start by the second or third week of April.
Chris Morris has become the most expensive player in IPL history. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 16.25 crores. Glenn Maxwell has been bought by RCB for 14.25 crores, Jhye Richardson has been bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 14 crores. New Zealand player Kyle Jamieson has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 15 crore. KKR bought Shakib for 3.2 crores, Delhi bought Steve Smith for 2.2 crores. Shivam Dube was bought by Rajasthan for 4.4 crores and Moeen Ali was bought by Chennai for 7 crores.
