IPL will be played from 19 September to 8 November in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This will be a full flanged tournament. IPL has become possible after the decision of the ICC to postpone the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November 2020. The host country had expressed its inability to organize the IPL due to the corona virus epidemic.
Vivo’s leaf cut due to India-China tension
Dream11 is the official sponsor for this season of IPL. Earlier Chinese mobile brand Vivo was the sponsor of IPL. In view of the increasing tension between India and China, the Indian Cricket Board suspended the deal with Vivo. According to reports, BCCI got Rs 440 crore from Vivo, while Dream11 will pay 222 crores to the board.
