IPL 2020: For the first time in the Indian Premier League, the participation of a player from America will be seen. Kolkata Knight Riders want to take fast bowler Ali Khan for the upcoming season of IPL. According to a report in ESPN Cricinfo, two-time IPL winner KKR has picked Khan in place of England fast bowler Harry Gurney but is yet to get permission from the IPL.
Gurney has to undergo a shoulder operation, due to which he withdrew from the IPL and Vitality Blast in England. Khan was part of the Trinbago Knight Riders team that won the Caribbean Premier League title on Thursday. Khan took eight wickets in eight matches. Khan did well in the 2018 Canada Global T20.
IPL 2020 is from 19th September
This time IPL is going to be held in UAE from 19th September. The first match will be between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi. This is the 13th season of IPL. 8 franchise teams are participating in this full-fledged tournament, which will run from September 19 to November 8, whose 189 players will participate in this Maha Kumbh.
