
Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri has been found to be Kovid-19 positive. He has been isolated along with bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and physiotherapist Nitin Patel. The BCCI has given this information by issuing a statement on Sunday. All of them were tested for RT-PCR on Sunday morning and did not accompany the team to the Oval Stadium.
A statement issued by the BCCI said that the BCCI medical team has isolated Head Coach Ravi Shastri, Bowling Coach B Arun, Fielding Coach R Sridhar and Physiotherapist Nitin Patel as a precaution after Shastri’s corona test positive last evening. . His RT-PCR test has been done and he will remain in the team hotel and will not travel with the Indian team till confirmation from the medical team. The rest of the Indian team had two lateral flow tests – one yesterday evening and the other this morning.
Lateral flow test of the Indian team is being done daily since the time Rishabh Pant was found to be Kovid positive during the three-week break.
