Australia beat India by 12 runs in this match. In the match, India won the toss and called Australia to bat first. Batting first, Australia scored 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. India needed 187 runs to win the match. India scored 174 runs in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Captain Virat Kohli played the most innings of 85 runs for India.
India had already captured the series by winning two matches. India wanted to clean sweep by winning today’s last match. This match was played at Sydney Cricket Ground.
Earlier, in the second match of the series, the Indian team had won the toss and invited Australia to bat first. Australia scored 194 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. In response, the Indian team achieved the target of 195 runs at the loss of four wickets with two balls remaining. Hardik Pandya was awarded the Man of the Match award in this match. In his innings of 42 runs, he hit three fours and sixes.
