The Indian team bundled out hosts Australia for 200 runs in the second innings on the fourth day of the match. After this, the Indian team, who came on the field, needed 70 runs to win the match, which they achieved in just 15.5 overs by losing 2 wickets.
India lead by 131 runs in the first innings
India had scored 326 runs in their first innings and on the basis of 195 runs scored by the Australian team, the Indian team got a lead of 131 runs. After this Australia started its second innings and could only score 200 runs. In this way, India got the target of 70 runs to win in the second innings, which the Indian team achieved at the loss of two wickets. After defeating Australia by eight wickets, India leveled the series 1-1. Ajinkya Rahane contributed 112 runs and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 57 runs for the Indian team in the first innings.
