Test Match India vs Australia Gabba 2021: India has won the four-match Test series against Australia by securing a historic victory in the fourth and final Test match being played in Brisbane. India won the series 2-1 with a historic win in the final match at Brisbane’s Gabba ground. India had got a target of 328 runs to win. In reply, India scored 329 runs and won the match by 3 wickets. In this winning innings of 329 runs, Shubman Gill scored 91 runs from 146 balls and Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 89 off 138 balls for India. In the first innings, Shardul Thakur scored 67 runs in 115 balls and Washington Sundar scored 62 runs for the Indian team.

On this historic victory at the Gabba Ground in Brisbane in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced a bonus of Rs 5 crore to the team on this victory. Australia had not lost for the last 33 years at the Gabba ground.

Indian team trailed by 33 runs in the first innings

At the start of the fourth Test, Australia won the toss and batted first and scored 369 runs in the first innings. In response, the Indian innings could only score 336 runs and on the basis of the first innings, it trailed Australia by 33 runs. After this Australia could score only 294 runs in the second innings. Thus India got a target of 328 runs to win the series with the match. Thanks to brilliant fifties from Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, India won the match by 3 wickets and won the series 2-1.

Biggest run chase at Gabba ground

India has won by chasing the biggest run ever at the Gabba ground. Earlier, there was no target chase of more than 250 runs. Earlier in 1951, Australia had defeated West Indies while chasing the target of 236 runs and won by three wickets. Talking about India, so far he has played six Tests here, in which he was defeated in five and he was successful in getting one match drawn.
