Pakistan will host England cricket team for two T20 matches.(Image-ANI)The England cricket team will tour in October next year to play cricket in Pakistan. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have confirmed this. England will go on a tour of Pakistan after 16 years. Earlier she went to play cricket in Pakistan in 2005. ECB CEO Tom Harrison said they are working with their Pakistani counterpart to ensure the safety of players and staff. All necessary steps are being taken for this.
Two T20 matches will be organized
Pakistan will host the England cricket team for two T20 matches. These matches will be held in Karachi on 14 and 15 October ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup next year. According to the statement issued by the ECB, England will reach Karachi on October 12 and both the teams will leave for India on October 16. India is organizing the next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Pakistan and England will come to India only to participate in it.

Earlier on a tour of Pakistan in 2005
England went on a tour of Pakistan 16 years ago. There the English team played three Tests and five ODIs. After this, the England team was to tour Pakistan in 2012 and 2015 as well, but due to the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in Pakistan in 2009, this tour could not take place. After this both the teams played all the matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009
About 11 years ago, in 2009, Sri Lanka went on a tour of Pakistan. There were terrorist attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. At the time of the attack, the Sri Lankan cricketer was going to Gaddafi Stadium by bus and terrorists opened fire on the bus near the stadium. They also attacked with rocket launchers and granites. Six members of the Sri Lankan team were injured in the attack.
Sri Lanka on tour again after 10 years of attack
Since the attack on the Sri Lankan team, no cricket team was going to tour Pakistan. Zimbabwe played two matches in Pakistan in 2015 and after that in 2017 the World XI team played a T20 series there. In 2018, West Indies also went on a tour of Pakistan. Sri Lanka toured Pakistan twice last year.
