Sourav Ganguly Health Update: Cricket Board President and former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to the hospital on Saturday. A hospital official said that he has been admitted after complaining of chest pain. The condition of 48-year-old Ganguly is stable and has been admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital.

He complained of chest pain after a workout session on Friday evening and family members took him to the hospital this afternoon when the problem recurred. The official said that he is currently stable. They are checking whether the pain is a heart problem or not. He needs to get many tests done.

Dr. Aftab Khan of Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata told that Sourav Ganguly has had angioplasty. They are stable now. He told that he will be monitored for 24 hours. He is fully conscious. He has two blockages in his heart, for which he will be treated.

According to a report in the Indian Express, Dr. Rupali Basu, MD and CEO, Woodlands said that Ganguly’s family had a family history of heart disease and is being treated with anti-platelet and statins. He was brought here around 1 pm. His plus 70 per minute, BP 130/80 mm Hg and other clinical parameters were in normal ranges. He has a hyperacute ST segment in his ECG.
